The deceased is identified as Lonah Nekesa 40 years of age a resident of Mission cell, Mission ward Magale town council in Namisindwa district.
According to Rogers Walyama the assistant resident district commissioner of Namisindwa told our reporter yesterday Wednesday during an exclusive interview that basing on the relatives of the deceased, the mother came for delivery on Saturday at 10.am but got all medical staff are absent on the duty.
He says that health workers at Magale Han health center III don't operate at weekends which controlly with law because all health center IIIs operate 24 hours in the week.
Walyama adds that the mother got a casual worker (cleaner)at the facility who Injected her with ceftraxion injection thinking that she is bleeding due to STDs infection.
After the mother received the injections the situation worsened and her relatives put her on Boda Boda motorcycle to another nearby Magale health center III for further support.
Unfortunately immediately after reaching the gate of Magale health center III she died with her futal in the womb.
However, after contacting Martine Mutuma the in charge of Magale Han health center III refuted allegations saying Walyama is aiming at turnishing the name of the health center and staff.
He says health workers at the facility operate 24 hours in the entire week and on Saturday it's true Nekesa who is a deceased came but was attended on well but health workers but unfortunately she delayed to come to health center after spending most of the time at traditional birth attended.
Mutuma says that mother had never attended atenetal and it was hard for health workers to attend on her which forced them to refer her at Magale health center III unfortunately died.
The in charge says that basing on postpartum report, the futal had been miss located in the womb which had needed operation but relatives delayed her from traditional birth attended who are ingenorant delivery skills.
Matha Muyama the secretary for health at Namisindwa district local government says investigation into the matters is under going but cautioned expectant mothers against seeking traditional birth attended if time for delivery reaches but rush to health center.
