Business Yoo Concert Electrifies Mbale, Thousands Attend

A massive crowd thronged the Las Vegas Club in Mbale City on August 30th for the highly anticipated Business Yoo concert. The event featured a talented lineup of artists, including Dora Dadon, Masta Beats (AMB Productions), Umar Eazy, Emmy Kay, and Senga We Bamasaba (Auntie), who delivered electrifying performances that left the audience in awe.


The concert, held on a friday 30th august 2024 evening, drew thousands of music enthusiasts from across the city and beyond. Fans were treated to an unforgettable night of music, dance, and entertainment as various artists took to the stage.


Mr. Bwasha, the organizer, expressed his gratitude to the audience for their support and large turnout, which exceeded his expectations. He thanked the management of 101.4 Elgon FM, Jere Nation productions ,AMB productions , Post Bank uganda , proudcers  and the presenters from the Eastern Region for promoting his music.


As an icon in Eastern Uganda's music industry, Mr. Bwasha has worked with Elgon FM in Mbale. He began his career while still in school at St. Edwards SSS in Manafwa, Bubulo, and later honed his craft on the streets of Mbale. Mr. Bwasha promised to continue delivering quality content and music, as seen in his previous hits like "Business Yoo," "Maria," "Suzaana," "Wambuya," "Iruya," and his collaborations with various regional musicians. #kens omubwati ug umutta taa

SHOCK DEFEAT: Hon. Mariam Naigaga Loses NRM Chairpersonship in Namutumba District.

Mariam Naigaga the Woman MP  has lost the National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairperson seat for Namutumba District to Simon Menya, who won by a wide margin. Dr. Tanga Odoi, Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission, confirmed that the elections in Namutumba District were conducted smoothly and declared Simon Menya the duly elected NRM District Chairperson. Dr. Odoi clarified that only two positions—Vice Chairperson and Secretary for Publicity—will be contested on Tuesday, July 27, 2025, at Busoga Nsadhu. All other positions were filled through proper electoral procedures. Jinja District Unveils 47.67 Billion Shilling Budget for 2025/26

By Kenneth Wamatoyi Jinja District Council has unveiled a proposed budget of 47.67 billion shillings for the financial year 2025/26, focusing on wages, infrastructure, and essential services. The budget, presented on March 25, 2025, at Jinja District Hall, is now under review by various district committees before final approval. The budget allocates 29.15 billion shillings (61.1%) to wages, 15.48 billion shillings (32.5%) for non-wage recurrent expenditures, and 3.04 billion shillings (6.4%) for capital development projects. Speaker Namukose Monica stated that councillors have been given time to review the budget and suggest amendments. The District Executive Committee (DEC) compiled the budget and submitted it to relevant committees for further scrutiny.
