Turkish embassy and government donate machines to Busoga community.

In an effort to promote skills and social economic life transformation, the Women Integrated Empowerment Development Group in Buwenda and Roho Uganda  Jinja City, has received various equipment’s. The donation, worth $650000, was handed over on September 3rd to support the group's business and improve their lives social economically  in the community.


Dr byangu Abubakar from the Turkish embassy and coordination agency says these machines donated cost over 650,000 usd dollars donated to buwenda women initiative and Roho Uganda. He says the machines include button making that produces 1000 buttons in 1hr, pauper making, pads making, stamping bar machine and soap making


Talitwala Judith the proprietor Aged 73 years women initiative empowerment development group says started up from Uganda pulp and paper industry that she attended the training for 6 days, she wrote a proposal to the politicians, companies but they did go through. She says she had friends in America that after 3 years the friends recently wrote a Gmail to them asking cow horn means what. ‘The man came up with money and managed to buy for us machines from Kampala, the machines we have been using we got from them not even government has bothered to help us as the windows, and the HIV aids people. She spoke.


 


The group produces various products like key holders, buttons, and plastic materials but faces challenges in marketing their finished products. Judith called on the government and other stakeholders to help them acquire a market for their products.


Judith  says currently, they train up various people and due to less money, they have been forced up to reduce up from 30 to 7 people and they were forced to sell off their truck due to arriers that they had acquired and the rent. This made them acquire the permanent location that they bought a plot 50ft by 100 ft in buwenda.


She thanked hon Rebbeca alitwala Kadaga and the minister Hellen namutamba for the initiative and bring in them out through marketing their products in various regions.


However According to Hellen namutamba, she says these machines have been acquired through the Turkish embassy and coordination agency the full set manufacturing machines will improve on the borns and horns products the women do in the community. She says this initiative started up with the Busoga kingdom and alitwala Kadaga to help and prevent the early prevalences, transform the lives economically and improve there living since they are affected up with HIV aids and the dropouts.


The machines donated include the button making machine full set, paper making, soap making machine and the pads that are for the mothers and the girls. She says this product will be given up in the outreaches like schools, communities etc. to end up the prevalence’s in the community. She thanked Kadaga and the Busoga kingdom for the contribution however urged the community to involve up and gain skills.


According to beneficiaries they thanked the kingdom for the initiatives and continued collaboration with the Turkish government and hon alitwala Kadaga and minister namutamba hellen.
