ANGRY RESIDENTS LYNCH 29 YEAR OLD BODA BODA THIEF


Bitter residents of Bumbobi  subcounty  have lynched a 29 year old serial boda boda thief. He was killed after stealing one of the locals in Namashele village, Bumbobi sub county in Mbale district. The information was received from Dpc Mbale district one Sp Okongo Francis and OC operations one Asp Ebiot Vincent and party responded to the scene of mob action.

The deceased was identified as one Masaba felex ,29 yrs old, gishu by tribe, boda boda rider, of buwangwa village, busano sub county in mbale district.

According to SP Rogers Taitika, it's alleged that on 24/10/2024 at Namashele village, Bumbobi sub county in Mbale district the one Masaba felex was  murdered by mob when boda boda riders chased him when he had stolen a motorcycle  from Bubulo in Manafwa district caught up with him and turned into a mob killing him.

He says that it's alleged that when the  boda boda riders were nearing him, deceased abandoned the ride  running to the bush where he was got from and murdered.

The police received information and responded to the scene of crime and found when the deceased was already murdered.as ahomicide team, uniformed personnel, soco led by oc operations asp Ebiot vincent.

The body was  conveyed to the city mortuary for postmortem. Taitika called upon the community not to always involve in breaking up the laws.

SHOCK DEFEAT: Hon. Mariam Naigaga Loses NRM Chairpersonship in Namutumba District.

Mariam Naigaga the Woman MP  has lost the National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairperson seat for Namutumba District to Simon Menya, who won by a wide margin. Dr. Tanga Odoi, Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission, confirmed that the elections in Namutumba District were conducted smoothly and declared Simon Menya the duly elected NRM District Chairperson. Dr. Odoi clarified that only two positions—Vice Chairperson and Secretary for Publicity—will be contested on Tuesday, July 27, 2025, at Busoga Nsadhu. Jinja District Unveils 47.67 Billion Shilling Budget for 2025/26

By Kenneth Wamatoyi Jinja District Council has unveiled a proposed budget of 47.67 billion shillings for the financial year 2025/26, focusing on wages, infrastructure, and essential services. The budget, presented on March 25, 2025, at Jinja District Hall, is now under review by various district committees before final approval. The budget allocates 29.15 billion shillings (61.1%) to wages, 15.48 billion shillings (32.5%) for non-wage recurrent expenditures, and 3.04 billion shillings (6.4%) for capital development projects. Speaker Namukose Monica stated that councillors have been given time to review the budget and suggest amendments. The District Executive Committee (DEC) compiled the budget and submitted it to relevant committees for further scrutiny.
